Principal's Corner

A Message from Principal Schildbach

It is that time of the year again where students take their Spring assessments. Students in grades 3-6 will be taking their AMP assessment during the last part of March and all of April. When planning doctor appointments or other activities please schedule them outside of the school day in order to minimize the need for students to make up tests.

Traffic Reminders

School Zone When dropping off and picking up children, please be sure you use the designated locations.  Kindergarten should be dropped off and picked up from the back parking lot off of 18th Street, while all other grades should use the playground exits off of 17th Street.  Do not forget there is no supervision until 9:00 a.m. and after 3:45 p.m.  Children should not be on the premises without supervision or special permission obtained via the office or for a special circumstance. Your cooperation with this matter is greatly appreciated.

Tech News

As technology grows, make sure you are aware of who and what your child is involved in online and over the phone. Make sure they understand the consequences of posting on line. Posts can never be truly deleted. Be sure to monitor what your child is doing and whether or not it is appropriate and kind. While texting and posting online is convenient, it is often misinterpreted and can lead to bullying. Use the THINK program to determine whether it is appropriate.
